I am re-prvisioning an older PE4400 server. In the process I will be install all new larger HDD's. I plan to use Open Manage V 4.5 that I downloaded and Array Manager to set up 2 drives as a RAID1 and the remaining drives as RAID5 and to install Server 2003 to the RAID1 array. I am getting some conflicting info from the documentation and was wondering if 1. Array Manager can be loaded from this disk set without a previous version installed (the docs indicate it will ony upgrade an existing install) and 2. Is it better to install the first 2 HDD's, set up the RAID1, and then install the remainder and set them up as RAID5, or do it all at once. I have had issues doing it all at once and didn't know if it was just me, or not. Thanks.
