Three days ago my wife's laptop lost internet connection. Got a message that stated "You are using a virtual network adapter."  Upon inspection in device manager I found alert icons for both the network controller and intel wireless Bluetooth. The properties tab for the network controller states in short that  there are no drivers and no compatible drivers for the device. I have tried multiple fixes that have been suggested online including uninstalling and reinstalling the devices, cold shutdowns, rolling back windows updates and downloading the network driver for this specific laptop.  I'm beginning to think after all of these efforts it is a hardware failure.  For the time being I obtained a USB wifi adapter and it is working fine.  Does anyone have suggestions?
