Latitude 5580 Latency
Hello! I use my laptop for music, in this case very important laptop overall latence of laptop. I used free software - LatencyMon.
Results: 0,4-1,8 ms mainly reason from ACPI.sys (tested in Windows 7, 8.1, 10)
After this I switch off battery (unplug connector from battery to mainbouard)
Results: 0,1-0,2 ms (tested in Windows 7, 8.1)
I think results so bad because sensors ob battery too slow (or conflict whith others devices). Can you recomend another battery for fast work in this laptop? Or patch fix this problem?

But on my old HP Probook results much better (about 0,1 ms) with battery, also I tested on Lenovo ThinkPad result about 0,4 ms (which use 2 battery).
But on dell 1,8 ms that much worse, so mabye Dell can do patch? (or mabye add function disable battery for example in BIOS).

You can check back every couple of months and see if Dell has a Fix/Patch.

Is this why on batter while playing Youtube videos in any browser (Chrome, Mozilla) the sound is choppy? Very choppy!

Sorry but the results will be the same with every battery.
All batteries will communicate with the CPU and cause a slight "Latency"
I see no updates/patches that will help.
