Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition NVMe Support

Hello

I recently purchased a Kaby Lake Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition laptop. I had purchased the edition that came with a 128 gigabyte M.2 Sata based hard drive. Now I decided I would get the new Samsung 960 Pro NVMe drive and it recently arrived and I eagerly installed it into the laptop. Upon trying to reinstall KDE Neon on it, it appeared that the drive wouldn't boot. So I tried to use the dell recovery image I had made when I first got the laptop to reinstall Ubuntu also with no success of booting as in both cases it immediately goes through the hardware test feature.

The drive is recognized by both installers. I can read and write to the drive in the Linux install environments. In the bios I can point to the drive and the GRUB.efi in the ESP partition created by both installers. I have tried many things but I have had no successful boot with this new drive. Does the BIOS not support booting from an NVMe drive?

Have you updated the bios to 1.2.3 release?

If yes, you have to return your PC: Really. There is a bug on the update...

    With older versions it works.

I'm also want to swap my SSD. But I've already updated to 1.2.3. Waiting for new BIOS version with fix
