low activity in this forum a good sign?
Is anyone else happy that there is relatively low activity in this forum? I have no idea how many developer editions have been sold, but the ratio to problems (as measured by posts in this forum) to the number of dev editions out there has to be pretty low. No?
Sometimes I come to this forum and think to myself "wow there are so many problems and so many people are experiencing coil whine, which isn't even fixed after a 3rd motherboard replacement, and other issues", but I have to remind myself about selection (i.e .of course only problems are shown on this forum, not good experiences).
For all of you out there who *are* experiencing frustrating issues (probably most who read this post, otherwise why come to this forum?), you have my sympathy. I hope that they are fixed soon and that the developer edition keeps getting improvements with each model and each upstream patch.
I know this sounds like a Sputnik fanboy post but what can I say? Some days I'm just feeling optimistic.

Yes and enjoy nasty problems with DSDT if you are unlucky (en.community.dell.com/.../20006889) I wonder where this kind of problems should be reported and in the meantime I hope someone from Dell will notice and react to them somehow (I will be more than happy to provide more info or to help)

Yes, I think that many forums, especially those that are run by the manufacturer tend to attract the majority of complaints / problems / issues.
In my case, I do actually see real behind the scenes progress on the drivers and software components for the machines (at least my model a XPS 13 9360). I have no touchpad issues, Touchscreen restores from suspend, machine is fast, power consumption is good etc...

Regarding coil whine (which seems to come up a lot here) I have a situation on my machine on how to produce a repeatable situation where you can create coil whine, and then fix it.
Step 1: Install plain vanilla Windows 10 using the trial download version from Microsoft. Do NOT install ANY dell software or drivers
Step 2: Boot windows 10 and enjoy the coil whine. Like really bad coil whine
Step 3: Install the complete Dell drivers suite, especially the Chipset and Dell Power Manger Utility
Step 4: Enjoy the LACK of coil whine
Step 5: Install Fedora 25 and update to latest Kernel and enjoy no coil whine.
