Studio 17, wireless driver
Hello,
I can't get the wireless driver to work, specifically with bcmwl5 driver. Is this the correct driver? I got it to work partically as it can detect networks but it cannot connect to wireless networks that need passwords. After the password was entered, "Waiting for network key" is the only reply I got.
I'm trying it on Ubuntu 8.04. The access point is working as I connected with no problems on Vista.
Please help!

Hello,
I have DELL 1397 802.11A/G MINI CARD, ROW,INSP.
It is the standard card that comes with the Studio 17.
Please help if possible.

Hi,
Thanks for your help. I got the driver working, device detected but I can't connect to WAP connections. I think its just a Ubuntu problem.

No problem Jon.
I must confess I'm not sure about the WAP connections so I can't really help you there.
I have also tried on Studio 15 and has no problem connect to the WPA, WEP network using Ubuntu. Perhaps it's the issue is something else?
Have you tried to change wireless security setting and see if it helps? If you can post your /var/log/syslog to here. We might be able to help you.
