I've been using an Alienware x14 for work for some time now. I'm a developer and I use LInux (Ubuntu 20.04 right now) and I haven't been able to get the onboard microphone to work at all. If I select the microphone as the default input device it appears to show input for a split second and then nothing. I have the device 'Digital Microphone' sof-hda-dsp available which I assume is the onboard one.
