Delayed shipmnt
My R4 was supposed to be delivered Jan 18th and has now been delayed 3 times with a new date of Feb 8th. Dell order support just gives me the canned response that there are no video cards. I'm getting fairly desparate to get my consulting business back on track. Is there any information out there that can tell me when video cards will be available so I can get the PC shipped?

I ordered mine on the 28th of Jan and from experience with other companies it should only take eight to ten days. Any longer than that, then it is unacceptable.
Alienware/Dell should have a construction log so the person who bought the system can see what stage they're in the construction e.g, constructing PC and need to order in x part eta on part arrival two days.
I'm hoping that I'm not waiting ages as I'm desperate for it to arrive. The computer I'm using at the moment is on its last legs and the Alienware computer I've ordered is set to replace this one. I heard a rumour though that these computers are made in China and that's the reason for there delay. Does anyone know if that's true?
The OP probably created this topic because the one you link elypcool is 700+ posts long. From what I've been told, the Radeon graphics card is the problem. I've browsed the internet and it seems that the manufacturer didn't anticipate the demand for the card. Still, Dell should have taken whatever action was required to get the issue resolved. Like, you, my other computer is dead and as a consultant I'm in desperation mode.
