Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver fail
Hi, I received my Alienware 17x r4 today. Under device manager/display adapters/Intel HD Graphics 4000 there is a yellow exclamation mark and it tells me: Reinstall the drivers for this device. (Code 18) If I install the Intel Graphics Driver from the dell website for an Alienware 17x r4, will that fix my problem?

On machines that have Optimus, such as this one and the m14x, it is better to use the DELL drivers always. If the issue just appeared you may be able to revert it by using system restore.

Yes, installing the driver from the support website will resolve the issue. Please click on the link below, enter the system service tag and select the Operating system to download the driver.
