Yes I running the Nvidia 53.03 drivers. The loading time of the WinXP OS has not been affected nore has anything else as fas as I can see. Its just that first screen with the bios info has dissappeared. I just a bit concerned in the event that this may be indicitive of a problem yet to raise its ulgy head or maybe not I just don't know. I have a couple of days left in which I could return the card, having said that other than this bios info thing all is well. I will try the "Esc" thing and see what happens. The cards bios 4.31.30.36.02 does show up in the Nvidia display properties and I can still get in to the system bios(A11), hit Del when booting.

Well the real bonus is the ability to play DX9 games, Deus-Ex and the ones to come. My present games do look a little better but the improvement is not what I thought going from a 32MB GF2 MX to a 128MB FX5600. I suspect though my PCU(1gig) and my RAM(512 SDRAM) could be a bit of a bottlekneck. Also my AGP data rate is 2X this card can run on a 8X Mobo. So in a better system this card would be much more effective.

Well my card(FX6000) went back today(lots of tears), so its back to the drawing board. In the end it was not the non showing of the cards bios on boot-up that troubled me, the card was crashing maybe once a day while playing games. I suspect it was my PSU(200Watt). Some could maybe live with that, not me. I just read about someone running a radeon 9800 with a 200Watt PSU. I'm thinking the NVidia cards are more power hungry than the Radeon's. I had previously thought it was the other way around so I might look at the 9600XT. Never had a Radeon so I'll tread carefully. I'm also going to upgrade my PSU to a 300Watt(from pcpowerandcooling) to widen my options. How is the FX5200 behaving?
