PSU upgrade?-Dell Studio 540
I was wondering if its possible to upgrade the power supply on dell studio 540, because ive heard that some are propietary w/mobo and can fry parts and how do i know if mine is propietary or not? i have no idea about cable or how they are put on mobo etc. so any advice on how to find out please tell me.

If you have the Studio 540 Mini Tower, you can use most generic standard ATX power supply units, with either a 24-pin or 20+4-pin main motherboard power connector, with or without the on/off switch.
You should be able to buy a compatible power supply from either a local or online computer store.
Note: You require a power supply with four SATA power connectors.
