Simultanous shutdown

As it is, the CPU and monitor (4300S w/XP) must be powered up and shut down, seperately. I find that annoying. When the monitor goes black, I sometimes forget to turn off power. Any way to get them to power up/down simultaniously?

I put my monitor, printer, scanner, powered speakers, powered USB hub all on a powerstrip. When computer shuts down I simply flip the switch on the powerstrip.
