VIRTUAL MEMORY
My sister's computer is saying "virtual memory low". Can anyone give me an idea what this means and/or how to fix it?? Thanks in advance!!

When a computer runs out of memory (Ram) is uses a portion of your hard drive called Virtual Memory (This can change in size depending on what it needs)
If your hard drive has become almost full it will not allow Windows to use this feature, then the Memory error message will apear.It is a rule of thump to have at least 10% free space on your hard drive at all times.
Try to free up some space on your drive if this is the case. Uninstall some programs not needed anymore.
You can also add more Ram to the system, however the 10% rule still needs to be maintained.Dimension 4500 - Pentium 4 - 2.0 GHz

Sorry about that!! It's a dimension 4300S 40 Gig HD, 256 ram. She's only using about 15% of the HD. I defragmented the HD today (she hadn't done that since she got the comp almost a year ago). Thanks for the help!!

It would help if you supplied us with more information, such as operating system, amount of ram, model and any other error messages you have received.
