dell inspiron13 missing tablet functionality
the problem started after WIN10 upgrade.: i can only use the tablet mode when at full 180 split. using it the keyboard as a stand or any rotation not fully at the 180 mark it remains in laptop mode.
while in laptop mode, it does not auto rotate. the orientation remains the same even when viewing upside down. the 'auto-rotate' check box is also no longer in the settings.
i search this site for answers and stayed on the line with tech support for almost 2 hours, and no solution.
my sensor is missing in the devices, should be directly under processor. any help is appreciated.

Have you tried rolling back the driver to the one for the previous operating system?

thank you Robert.
I installed every single driver that were recommended on the list,
now there is a lock rotation' button in the display settings, buts its greyed out. and so is the auto-rotation button in the action menu.

unfortunately after trying everything I could think of, I had to uninstall win10 and revert back to 8.1 [ I backed up my files]
the tablet functionality, which is why I purchased this laptop, is not fully supported in win10.
[in win10 for instance using the keyboard as a stand doesn't put it in tablet mode, meaning the keyboard and track pad are still active underneath. the HID sensor collection and orientation drivers in win10 do not match the hardware configuration. ]
I noticed a couple of people experiencing this issue when I did a search on this forum.
I will use win 8.1 until the issues are resolved, as I use my laptop in tablet mode for work 80% of the time.

Thanks for posting.
From what I understand, it's possible that the Windows 10 installation may have changed the video drivers for your device. Please check to see that you have the latest drivers. Post back here if you are still having difficulty.
