Hi all,

I recently installed UT2004 and started using a mic/headset combo.  Ever since then, my internal (built-in) microphone keeps coming on and tries to record in any (and every) program that uses voice recognition (Word, IE, etc.)  I have an i8200 with Windows XP Home.  I've gone to Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Audio (as well as Voice) and under Sound Recording (and Voice Recording) the only button available is Volume (the Advanced Tab is grayed out - where I would assume I could disable the device).  When I click on the volume tab, I can lower the volume all the way down, but it keeps resetting itself back up!.  I've also gone to Control Panel > Speech > Speech Recognition > Audio Input...> Properties > Volume,  and adjusted the volume all the way down, but again, it keeps resetting itself back up.  I've tried all this under the Sound Properties from the speaker icon (double clicking speaker icon in task bar), but everything is the same there as well, i.e., the Advanced tab is grayed out - can only adust the volume  Under the properties (through control panel or speaker icon) I have two devices to choose from - Stereo Mix or Microphone - but both of them react the same way as far as recording.  And also, if I try to uncheck both of these (Stereo Mix and Microphone) the OK button is grayed out, so that I HAVE to pick one of them.  Is there any way to totally disable the internal mic?  Or, is there any way to cause the "Advanced" buttons to be available (not grayed out)?  I REALLY need some help here people.  PLEASE - ANY ADVICE!
