IPod question
If this is not the right forum for this question please let me know!
I have an Inspiron 8000 and when I try to use ITunes it doesn't recognize cds (won't play them, won't let me copy them into my library). The cd diagnostic that I ran said that some Dells require an update or driver in order to remedy this problem. It told me to go to the Dell website.
Does anyone know which update/driver I need, where I can get it on this site?
Thanks!

HI,
Thanks for the reply. This is what the cd diagnostic said:

I kind of gave up on trying to get ITunes to recognize cds. Right now I just rip cds using Windows Media Player and then import them into ITunes.
But, I was emailing back and forth with the support people at Dell and they finally sent me a few links. I haven't tried them yet, but they may help you, althou you have a different computer.
I have gone through the history of the mail and also the troubleshooting
done to resolve the issue. From your mail I understand that you need to
download the firmware for CD ROM.Please refer to the following web link:

I would suggest you to update the graphic ATI card driver. Please refer

slz203,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
What is the name of the driver stated by the third-party hardware? Perhaps I can help you find it.
