Hello 

I have a DELL inspiron 1525. The OS has crashed and I need to reinstall the software from VISTA home premium disk. The issue is that the disk drive on the Laptop is broken. So I decided to use an external disk drive. If i change the boot order the laptop will not boot from the external disk drive. I just continue to get the error

This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as an external USC drive while the device is in use, or by faulty hardware such as a hard drive or CD-ROM drive that is failing. Make sure any removable stroage is properly connected and then restart your computer. If you continue to receive this error message, contact the hardware manufacture. I've removed the device that caused this error and tried to reinstall windows but this error just keeps coming back. How can I fix this? Please help!
