My Microsoft Notebook Receiver is not working properly.  When plugging the receiver into the mouse on the side of my laptop (Inspiron E1705) port the green light does not light up.  Therefore, the mouse does not work.  I've changed the battery in the mouse, but that did not fix the problem.
