Which E-mail program ?

I have recently had installed a new hard drive in my inspiron 1545 laptop.

I can not recall what E-mail program was on this when i originally purchased the laptop and was hoping someone here would be able to help.

I had a look on the Dell drivers and utilities page today and was able to get a few programs back, but i could not find one for E-mails.

I did use Mozilla's "Thunderbird" for a while, however, i don't really like it, i would rather go back to what ever it was that i originally had on here ( but i cant remember! )

Please help :emotion-1:

Thanks,  Mada.

MY system is windows 7, i will have a look  and see if there was a microsoft office disk that i got with this when i purchased it.

I have looked at "windows live" but i dont think that is what i had originally.

I will check out the warranty status area and see what i had, and i will also have a look at the add system area to see what i can find. ( but not tonight i better get some sleep before work lolz! )

Thank you for your help pudgyone, ill post back here tomorrow and let you know how i go  :)

    Mada,

First, the notebook system utility and the chipset drivers need installed first, or the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

Most computers do not come with an email program. If your computer had Microsoft Office, then it had Outlook installed. If you had XP, it came with Outlook Express. Windows Live has replaced Outlook Express in the newer computers.

You could try going to Drivers & Downloads, click on warranty status, enter your service tag number and click on origional configuration. There is will tell you what was on the computer when first purchased.

Newer models no longer get media disks. They have to go to  My Dell Downloads :: Login, use the same email address and password you used here, click on add system, and the programs that came with the computer are located there.

There is heaps of things that seem to come with Windows Live Essentials, does it just have a e-mail program by itself?
