No. The Ageia card does a different job than the video card. It does it's calculations via the CPU, while the graphics cards have their own processors.

You've got a hardware solution, thanks to your Ageia PhysX card, and a hardware solution is invariably better than a software solution.

Why remove the hardware, just to replace it with software?

 

That video is advising anyone who doesn't already have an Ageia PhysX card, not to buy one, due to Nvidia's future plans for the product.

It doesn't apply to those of us who already own the card :smileywink: 

 would do the same thing no? , dont see point in having the card in there , more heat and power  if i can just load the software for the card and its all the same..

You can not use the software without the card being installed.
