178WFP problems

Just purchased this monitor. When using it, it simply cuts out, shows the Dell screensaver, then resumes where I left off. Blue light flashes. Anything I am doing is not lost, it simply blanks out with monotonous regularity. Any ideas folks

    Antlet,

Is that an SE178WFP or E178WFP? Does this occur using the monitor on another PC?

    Antlet,

Is this a desktop or laptop PC? What specific video card? Press the Auto Adjust button. Does the issue continue?

Hi there. It is the 178WFP. I don't have another computer to try it on, but I did put my old monitor back up and we haven't got the same problem, so at least we have isolated it to the monitor and not the computer. What I need to try is swapping the cables from the old monitor to the new one to see if that makes a difference. Any suggestions / help would be great. Also, as noted to Dell, the new monitor does not have a Service tag number, only a serial number, so when ever I try to access Dell support it won't let me as it always requires a ST number!

    Thanks, Tony
