After about a year and a half of use my 2007WFP has developed a strange defect and will probably have to be returned, but it seems this model is no longer available. Does this mean the replacement would be a different model?
Dell send the returns to a repair facility to repair and make available to warrenty customers. If you're is out of warrenty, I think all you can get is to buy a new monitor from them.
They may choose to supply another model depending on their stock and the cost of repairing a certain model
If you brought the monitor, with a system you need the service code, and standalone you use the order number.
Dell has an exchange program. If you are within warranty, you are send out a refurbished monitor, and you return the broken one in 10 days. You call DHL and they pickup the monitor.
