If analog is disconnected and DVI is connected and you get this message, simply push the video source button on the front of the monitor to switch to DVI. This is the first button to the right of the 1 and 2 indicator lights. Let us know if that works for you. If you still do not obtain the DVI signal then recconnect your signal cable again and ensure it is properly secured, if still no help you may want to try to reinstall your video card driver. The 1900 does not have the same issue as the 1800 to my knowledge. See your Users Guide linked here for information on this and more.

I should add, be sure you have only one or the other cable connected to the one PC, not both.
I receive the same message as Derek did - just an analog test screen. I read your advice to Derek, however my monitor is a model Dell 1703FP and doesn't have the buttons on the front of it that you referred to. Any other ideas please? I have double checked the DVI cable connections and I made sure that was the only cable connected.

Read the messages on the "1800FP Stuck in DVI Power Save Mode" thread, there are many users with a similar problem.
