First Impressions on the 2407 WFP

Mexico A003 version.  Upon opening the box, I noticed a 2 inch deep scratch on the arm of the stand, back side.   No other scratches, dents nor marks visible.   Easy to assemble, and seems solid on my desk.  Have not noticed any leaning to one side or the other as others have reported.   Prior to getting this monitor today, I uninstalled the old video card driver, used the driver cleaner twice, than waited for the 24 incher to arrive.  Once it was set up ( DVI ), I turned it on, installed the most current driver nVidia 91.47 without a hitch.   Used the dead/stuck pixel program, and did not find any problems with the pixels.  Using Desktop Mode, no banding noticed at this point, either using the web, normal desktop applications, but have not played any games nor used the other Modes.  Since this will be used mainly for computer work, and some gaming, the other Modes will probably never be used, but will test them out later today or tomorrow.

Having used a 17 inch screen, this one is huge in comparison, and now will probably never have to scroll left or right much at all again.  For my eyes, I am not having a brightness issue when it is set at 50.  Will play a round with this later.  Guess its an individual eye thingy.  :smileyvery-happy:  I'm using the sound bar with this monitor to save space, and find it adequate for my needs.  I will also install some games later to test them out, but over all, and first impressions, I'm very satisfied with the monitor except the long scratch on the arm of the stand.

Using a Logitech MX 700 wireless mouse, no lag noticed yet, and no trailing.  Have not seen any  color changes to the mouse arrow when moving slow nor fast.  Yet.....

Edit :  Used the Gradient Test in Desktop Mode, and notice a vary small or faint amount of Banding, not too bad at all, but I don't play Gradient in Desktop Mode :smileytongue:   just desktop stuff, and again, no banding noticed thus far.  Other Modes, you will see a good amount of banding without doing the Gradient Test.  Again, for me not an issue.  Had the monitor on now for about an hour, and only slight warming from the back top of the monitor noticed.

One interesting issue I found a little irritating, if I can call it that, since I changed from a 17 inch viewing screen to a 24 incher, I now have to read from one end, than scroll with my eyes all the way accross to the other, that I had not had to do with a smaller screen.  :smileytongue:   ( That is if I'm closer to the screen.  If not, than its OK )
