Just got 2407wfp and it workds great.

Hey just got my monitor and works great. Rev A03 and everything. I was kind of worried with all the bad reviews out there. I got it in exactly two days here in Miami FL.

I'll let you know if it gives me any problems in the future.

Glad to hear it. I'm still waiting on mine...should be another day or two, but then again I'm way out on the Canadian west coast. I only hope I get as lucky as you. ;)

    *crosses fingers*

By the way, how is the input lag? I've been hearing mixed comments and it's the only thing that really has me concerned. I've never used a large LCD monitor before and going from a crt i don't know what to expect.

metempsychosis, input lag can vary depending on what type of mouse and keyboard your using.
for example, i have a logitech mx5000 bluetooth k/b mouse, the lag on it with a tft makes it completely unusable, you have no idea how bad it is, i blame bluetooth for that, but you get my point ?

i use my old mouse and k/b again now, mx5000 is junk

but yeh the input lag you speak of is different, i dont really thnk the input lag on 2407wfp is bad, you wont notice unless extremely sensetive to it. If you a HARDCORE gamer competing in comps, id go a CRT tho, as any lag can get you killed in such a comp :D

You don't know how much I envy you - lucky? yes...
I live on the sunshine coast near Brisbane Australia, but I would rather be skiing.
    cheers

Hmm. I'm pretty sensitive to audio and visual imperfections, so I'll probably notice it. *shrug*
I'd call myself a pretty hardcore gamer, usually in the top 3 in CS:S pubs (among other things), but I never play in clans or comps. I guess the tradeoffs will be worth it.
Using a razer copperhead at 1000Hz and saitek eclipse keyboard.

MX5000 what a mistake i made, i didnt goto the forums and check it out b4 i got it, its kind of got its own 2407 cult following also (in a bad way)

but after uber thought and research i found that what your using will be the best, i like the saitek pro gamer command pad, (i think its called) also.

if your 2407 is not as you hope it would be, you can send it back for refund, its the best thing about dell imo :P oh yer and the nice swanky chrome dell badge is kewl too....

I used to go skiing a dozen times a year when I was younger but haven't really had time for it lately. I'll go up to the mountain this weekend just for you! ^_^

execine, thanks for the info, normal r/f wirless is not so bad, but i think for playing games i will only use a mouse with wires from now on, no possibility of interference then, and its always smooth as :D

i have not tested my bluetooth mx5000 junk with a crt yet, i imagine it will lag also with that, but not 100% sure, might be worth a test out of curiosity for me.

well, on crt i couldn't feel anything with b/t mouse... but on lcd lag is huge... with wired, everything back to normal.
