SE2717H, blinks, flickers
External monitor works normally after powering on, but begins to blink or flicker after a few minutes of normal operation. The blink/flicker lasts approximately 1 second, and repeats frequently (every 5 seconds it blinks/flickers). The blink/flicker continues to occur when the monitor is disconnected from the computer (HDMI cord is unplugged).

what is the cause of the blinking on these monitors? .... should not be happening on monitor less than 5 years old for sure.

@DaleCE I found the answers. Dell does not repair monitors.
