U2722DE, disabling DPBS?

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know how to disable the DPBS (Dell Power Button Sync) feature on U2722DE?

The monitor comes with this DPBS feature that works with some selected new Dell PC. In my case it's Optiplex 7090 Ultra. If the U2722DE and the PC are connected via USB Type-C, this feature syncs the power button function with each other. So, when I turn off the U2722DE (via power button at back), the PC also shuts down. Or when I shut down the PC (either via the power button or through Windows shutdown command) the U2722DE also turns off. And if I turn on either the PC or U2722DE using the power button, the other one turns on too. It's a neat and useful feature if you have a compatible Dell PC to use with the monitor.

Unfortunately, this feature is turning out to be less useful to me.

This is my setup
1. Monitor: U2722DE
2. PC: Optiplex 7090 Ultra (connected via USB Type-C to USB Type-C to take advantage of power delivery)
3. Work Laptop: Dell Latitude 7400 (connected via Display Port)

When I have to use the laptop, obviously the U2722DE needs to be turned on and this powers on the PC also. Of course I can leave the PC on while using the laptop, but I find it waste of energy. Another thing to add here is, this feature automatically get enabled when you connect the U2722DE and compatible PC for the first time. So there is no way to avoid it.

I've gone through the user guides and support articles, but wasn't able to find any information on how to disable the DPBS feature. Does anyone knows how I can disable it or may be make the U2722DE go in standby mode when the PC is shutdown. Of course I can connect the PC via HDMI and the problem would go away, but then I'll have provide yet another cable and power source to the PC, and needless to say won't be able to take advantage of the monitor's built in USB hub and KVM to its full extent.

I had a conversation with Dell Technical Support team, but the rep I was dealing wasn't knowing much about it. Probably because its relatively a new U2722DE and a new feature. He said, the query will be escalated to senior team and they'll get back to me if there's a solution. Meanwhile I thought I'll check with the community to see if someone can help out with this.
