Could not authenticate this name and password

Hi

Yesterday i installed "Networker 7.6.1Server" on a new Server (OS Redhat Linux ES5). This should replace our old Networker Server.

With the user "root" i loged i the GUI all worked fine.

Today i creat a VTL on the DataDomain and present them to the new Server.

I had to reboot the new Server so that the OS "sees" the VTL

Then i start the GUI. But i cant login to the GUI i got allways the same Message.

I changed the root password on the new Server to a very simple on but that didnt help.

Any idee?

Thanks for your help.

This problem may suggest that the NMC DB got corrupted. Try to uninstall and reinstall NMC only and let us know if that fixed the problem.

You are not confusing your O/S root password with the password you have set (or not set) on Networker?  Default sign in for the NMC is administrator/administrator, have you tried that?

You haven't installed the NMC on another client and are trying to connect to that have you?  You should install only one instance of the NMC....

If possible try restarting Networker again and see if that resolves the issue.
