nsrsnap_vss_save -? -V

Also you can try to run EMC Config checker. It seems to be something missing with permissions.

Looks like the status of the DB is not healthy:

nsrsnap_vss_save NMM .. The database state for saveset Microsoft Exchange 2010\MailboxDB01 doesn't match the NSR_EXCH2010_BACKUP value ALL and will not be backed up

Looks like NMM cannot determine the status of the DB, so first thing I would look is the status of the DAG replication.

The output of the nsrsnap_vss_save -? -v doesn´t show the passive databases, it's very strange.

I'm going to ask about the replicaction with the exchange guys.

I'm bumping this thread as there is no answer to it yet. 

My Exchange 2010 install is suffering this exact problem now too.  We have looked at the replication of the DAG on Exchange and have not detected any replication issues within the DAG.  So we are stumped as to what to do next.

Could you please provide us with some more information about environment (Exchange SP and RU levels), as well as NW server and client version and build and NMM version and build?

Also, could you please render your nmm.raw file on the Exchange nodes and attach them here?

the environment is Exchange 2010 Sp2 RU5v2

Networker client and server are 8.0.1 and the NMM 2.4.0.368

I cannot provide the NMM.RAW file to the public system.  I can get the error codes from it though.

Hi,

I've since gone through some testing and cannot get the nsrsnap_vss_save.exe to show passive copies.  The command will only show active databases on the Exchange server, so if I were to move them to all one node it will show and they will backup with the following setup on the NetWorker Server

NSR_SNAP_TYPE=vss

NSR_ALT_PATH=E:\Snapshot

NSR_CHECK_JET_ERRORS=all

NSR_EXCH2010_BACKUP=ALL

NSR_EXCH_CHECK=yes

NSR_EXCH2010_DAG=

When we redistribute the databases to their "home" mailbox server the passive copies disappear from the nsrsnap_vss_save.exe.  This happens for all members of the DAG.  The NMM.RAW contains no errors when running the nsrsnap_vss_save.exe -v -? command.

Did you check with the Exchange admin the status of the DB's as well as the replication across the DAG?

Hi Carlos,

Yes, we've check those.  All replication is up to date and without errors.  We've also created brand new database in the DAG and created the copies.  If the database is not active on the node we run the NSRSNAP_VSS_SAVE.exe it does not show up either.
