Dell Powerconnect M8024K High CPU utilization

Hi All ,

 

im facing a high cpu usage for PowerConnect Switch , all time the cpu is around to be full in logs i can see alot of messages about invalid BPDU , my core switch is alcatel with rstp

    MAyyash,

    This can happen in multicast environments where there is a large number of Multicast Listener Discovery messages impacting the control-plane and data plane, when IPv6 MLD is enabled. You can follow the link here and it will go over configuration steps to correct the issue.

    Dear Chris ,

     

    Thank you for reply , i tried the link that you  provide but the cpu still above 90% , i applied the rate limit on the portchannel that connected to Core switch .
