Power off the cable modem, wait 15 seconds, then repower the modem and let it renegotiate with the server and your computer.  Also consider getting a cable/dsl router to go between your modem and computer - they are cheap (A Linksys wireless "b" router was $5 after rebates in this weeks flyers (can't remember if it was Office Max, Office Depot, or Best Buy).
