I need some help:

Hey,

I'm new to the community. I have a desk top dimison 3000. Having problems when starting up my computer, it's trying to down load a new product. Then I

keep pressing ending task mgr, to get it deleted, so my windows would  open. Tonight I found the program in the control panel add/or remove programs. I tried to unin-

stall it. Then it gave my a security  # 1316. Would anyone know how I can fix this on my own? Oh,  when I asked the mrg task to delete the download, it gave a error

1706.

Thanks,

Malcolm

Welcome to the forums Malcolm :emotion-21:

It sounds like you've got malware/spyware?

To get rid of the offending program first of all, download/install Revo Uninstaller - which is FREE.

As its name suggests... although it offers much, much more... it's primary role is as an alternative uninstaller to the standard Windows Add/Remove programs.

Try using Revo Uninstaller to get rid of the program?

You can also use it's 'Autorun Manager' feature (in the 'Tools' menu) to check what programs/services are set to run at startup, and to disable any you don't want running at startup :emotion-11:

If that doesn't solve the problem, I'd suggest you get yourself one or other of the many free anti-spyware programs available, and run it on your system :emotion-55:

Spyware Terminator is one of the better ones.

Do you have any internet security software installed already?  If so - which one are you using?
