Dell Optiplex  GX240, 4CPU 51 2.00 Ghz, 512K Ram

 

Problem:

Last night I installed a new Best Data Model HP56 internal modem.

 

I went thru the install several times and even moved the card to different PCI slots,

but I am still having the following problem.

 

On the control panel, I go to Phone and Modem, select modem and the following shows.

 

56HP92-SL Not functional.

 

When I installed the card and booted up, the new hardware was found.  I used the Best Data installation disk to install the driver and I rebooted.  Did this many times.  Also, let the install Wizard install the modem card and still have the problem.

 

Can someone help.
