are you looking into something that you can just connect to one of the computers and share with others or something that's truely a network printer that can work independently of being tied to a computer (e.g. one that would plug directly into an ethernet port on the router).

I would ideally like to have flexibility on that but if i had to choose would choose the "network printer" plugging into the ethernet port on the router.

hmm ... next question is if you want inkjet or laser. dell looks like it sells some Brother multifunctions with a network port if you want an inkjet. Otherwise, any of the color lasers with an 'N' at the end of the model number should work.
