Proxy Settings are Checked at Reboot

Over the last few weeks, I have found that when I reboot, my internet options - connections have use proxy checked. Each time I change to not use, and my connection works. I'm Running XP Pro SP1 on a 4600. I have also reinstall IE, uninstalled any and evrything I can think off that I have applied to my PC in the last few weeks. Sometimes it seems to work with proxy set to localhost port 103x. The port number seems to change at each re-boot.

Any ideas. I have seen other posts where this was an issue, but never saw a resolve that seemed to have a lasting effect.

    Soemthing has changed the Windows Registry to insert the Proxy.  Unless you can find that registry entry and eliminate it, you won't be able to solve the problem.  Try downloading and installing HijackThis and posting a log in one of the spyware forums or in the Virus Information and Removal forum here on the Dell forums.  The download and instructions can be found at:
