Wireless problem (inspiron 9300)
Hi. I got an Inspiron 9300 last year. It came with Windows Media Center. I recently installed Windows Xp in its place. I finally got my ethernet working, however i downloaded the driver updates for my intel pro 2200 wireless card, however, i can't seem to connect to my router. I can see the connection availability, but the connection will not come. It seems almost as though my computer and the wireless card are not reading eachother. What can i do?

I think it is also important to mention that i can wirelessly get internet connectivity through my router, and i can also access the router just not the internet (i can access other files on the network), just no internet connection. A response would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys- Has the problem changed? This is not what you said in your first post. Have you checked to see if there are any firewalls running on your computer that would be blocking internet access? To help troubleshoot this problem, go to Start > Run and type cmd then click OK. In the command prompt window that opens, type ipconfig /all then hit the enter key. Write down the output from this command or select it and save it to a txt file, then copy this output into a reply to this message.Steve

I originially could not access ethernet nor wireless. Having installed the current drivers and fooling around with the options i have gotten my ethernet to work, however the wireless sees the wireless networks, but is unable to make any connection. If it does, what exactly happens if you select it and click on the Connect button?Steve
