Xbox 360 wireless issues

Hi,

This isn't explicitly related to Dell products, although I am using a dell laptop. I just figured this would be the best place to go.

So my problem is:

Ever since I switched from a Belkin Wireless-N router to T-mobile's Linksys WRT54G-TM router to allow my phone to use the network, I am unable to connect to XBOX Live.

My current setup is:

A Motorola modem wired to the T-Mobile router, with my computer and phone connected to the internet wirelessly. My Xbox is hooked up to my PC through an ethernet cable.

I've verified that the cable is not the problem by switching out the cable with another one, as well as my PC.

I've tried forwarding ports, assigning static IP's, raising the number of available clients on my router, power-cycling, and reading up all over the internet just to make sure I wasn't missing anything, but I simply can't get the Xbox to connect to Live.

When I allow it to automatically assign IP settings, the console fails on the IP section of the network test saying "Your console was unable to negotiate a lease with the DHCP server." But when I manually assign settings, I get "Your gateway did not respond to a network request. And if I use the default gateway from my router's status page OR my router's default IP, I see, "The gateway you entered was invalid."

I have used all of the resources available to me, called XBOX support, and used every possible configuration of DNS and IP, Gateway, and Subnet mask settings, from using the numbers on my router's status page to the ipconfig /all command, as well as the ones from various guides and forum posts I've read elsewhere. Nothing so far has helped me.

I really would like to get on Live again, help!

Thanks in advance,

Scott
