The easiest way to check activity on a thread you have started is to use the Activity box that you see on the right side of the first page you see when you log in.  Find the subject you want in the list and click on it to bring up the thread.  Unfortunately it doesn't show up in a different color or intensity as it did on the old forum, but it isn't a whole lot more trouble to simply look at the thread.

You can setup for email replies to your posts by going to your "User Profile" and checking the box's to allow email replies. You also need to make sure that your email address is supplied.
