990 SFF, CPU upgrade
I have I5-2400 in my OptiPlex 990, is it worth to upgrade to I7-2600 ? If yes, I just have to update Bios and swap the my I5 to I7 only? Do I need to do anything else?

Improvement would be a GT1030
that works with SFF but NOT USFF.
Other area would be to max out the ram.

I thought from I5 to I7 will have much improvement. I just brought SSD to put windows in. What else should I upgrade to improve performance?4451

Currently I have GT 710 as graphic card, also thinking to upgrade to GTX 1030 or GTX1050. May I know the spec of Dell OptiPlex 990 sff when maximize all the parts? so that I can upgrade my desktop to the max. Haha.. Thank you for replying.4424

I don't think you will see much if any improvement. I had a PC with that i7 and it was "s l o w".
