Dell optiplex 760
- I went to turn my Dell optiplex 760 on today and it did not come on the screen I noticed lights 1 and 3 were flashing very rapidly when I press the power button again 3 lit up and stayed live for at least 2 seconds the power did not shut off I tried unplugging and leaving un pluged for at least 20 minutes when I plugged it back in them lights immediately started flashing I press the power button and the light three stayed on steady for a couple seconds I let go and it went back to flashing 1 & 3 very rapidly I then held the power button and the 3 would stay lite for about 3 seconds then it would go out and the one would blink then three would come back and stay on for about 3 seconds instead of the normal half a second that usually stayed with thanks in advance for your help could you please tell me what I need to do I may still be under warranty

The Optiplex 760 documentation is from 2008. There is no Dell warranty for old legacy models.

1 and 3 could be memory. With the power off, reseat (unplug and plug back in) the memory modules. If that doesn't help and you have more than one module, try one at a time.
