Please explain more, exactly how you are trying to upgrade.  A clean (new) install is the only way to go from 32 bit to 64 bit.

Before you attempt the upgrade, make a full (all partition) drive backup (disc image) to another drive. Then if it fails you are able to restore.

The free Macrium Reflect is a popular disc imaging program.

i gues you are trying to run a 64bit application which you will not be able to do it unless you go win10 64bit.

I'm afraid if you have 32 bit Windows, you cannot upgrade from 32 to 64 bit Windows while keeping your apps and data.

Normally you have to erase the partitions and start over with a clean install of 64 bit Windows. There are many guides available.

    eg. https://www.windowscentral.com/how-upgrade-32-bit-64-bit-version-windows-10

Personally, I would remove the existing hard drive containing working copy of 32 bit windows. Install a new drive and clean copy of 64 bit Windows and your apps.

Then plug old hard drive in as a second drive and selectively copy your data from old drive to the new drive.

If you run into problems wtih 64 bit Windows 10, you have the option to booting up the previous 32 bit Windows.

    • I’m not exactly sure what is going on. Did you change the cpu from 32 bit to 64 bit?
