Is iDRAC accessible?: No when rebooting, Yes after reboot finished
This issue happens after updating the iDRAC firmware or the issue happened and the iDRAC was updated to check if it resolves the issue? : Before updating... I tried to update and reset to default settings to resolve the issue... still the same
Could you check and confirm, in Lifecycle controller's inventory list, iDRAC is at the updated firmware level? Yes it's at the last version 2.82.82.82
Is the blue i button on the front panel stuck? Normally if you hold it in for ~20 seconds it will reboot the idrac (not the system). From your log, it logs like the i button may be stuck or malfunctioning.
I would agree with nadogmoney, it could be the i button. It's unlikely but try check if the button still works? Is the i button LED in blue? Blinking or steady lid?
Do you have iDRAC 8 Ent? Try removing the iDRAC port card to test the issue?
What is the rollback firmware version on iDRAC?
Last, if all else fails, probably try to reset the iDRAC using the RACADM. https://dell.to/3Ak6U9Z

I don't believe that you can disable the button, but what I would also include for you to try is to reseat the cable connections for the control panel the "i" button is on.

Is the i button LED in blue? Blinking or steady lid? No and No until I press it
Normally if you hold it in for ~20 seconds it will reboot the idrac: Yes it works but before rebooting Idrac it shows "Unrecognized post code"... then panel stays blue with nothing on it... then turns off and idrac reboot (server blows as usually)
you're right it show this in Lifecycle logs after rebooting: The iDRAC firmware was rebooted with the following reason: ID Button.
Do you have iDRAC 8 Ent? Try removing the iDRAC port card to test the issue?: No licence field show "Basic Management"
What is the rollback firmware version on iDRAC? : I was in 2.70.70.70 since a long time... No problem then suddenly without reasons, the issue appeared
So I upgrade to 2.81.81.81 and after to 2.82.82.82
Gonna try this powerd drain solution https://dell.to/3nJBHIt

Hi, the button is just what's on the surface, if that's the case you might have to change what's underneath as well. Please see the attached.
