Hi Team,
I had an confusion on this HBA SMC3008 naming and model.
I'm looking for a compatible HBA for my DELL hosts(VSAN 7.0)
From VSAN guide,
SMC3008 HBA from Supermicro.Its compatible for VSAN 7.0.

Two power edge servers are there.
1) R820
2) R730
Right now we are using LSI 9207-8i on R820 servers.We are going to replace with LSI3008 HBA.Is this compatible?
For R730,Dell HBA 330 mini is compatible,however we like to know that LSI3008 is compatible for R730 ?
LSI3008 means,from LSI side the name is SAS 9300-8I ??

Hi,
I couldn't find LSI 3008 listed for R820 and R730. I would think it's because R820 and R730 isn't listed to support ESXi 7.0 vSAN 7.0, so the cards aren't support by the system either.
LSI 3008 would consider the IO controller for the cards, so SAS 9300-8I, according the documentation: here https://dell.to/33cfwk7
