Yes, you should be able. I suggest reviewing the memory population rules in the system manual. 32GB modules will be available in RDIMMs and LRDIMMs. You can't have more than one type of memory in the server. The module you are currently using looks to be an RDIMM, so make sure the 32GB modules are RDIMMs.

Best population would be:

32GB - 1-4
16GB - 5-12

(what does the 1-4  and  5-12 means?)
The larger DIMMs should be the first ones to be installed?

Those are the slots. The A and B lane must be identical, so there is no point in listing both A1-A4 and B1-B4. Slots 1-4 on both lanes should be populated with the 32GB modules.

Largest rank should be populated first. If all memory is the same rank then largest size modules should be populated first. This should be covered in the memory population rules/guidelines.

I'm sorry if i make a mistake but it is the first time i use this way to ask a question. I have a similar demand but my server (R730) has 12 * 32 GB and i want to add 16 GB dimm. How much dimm i can add to have the max memory ?
