what would stop you from just making the new raid, and then using a drive cloning utility to copy all the stuff over?

like acronis, or macrium reflect, or countless others

other option is to use a harddrive toaster to clone the drives.

take one of the old drives (they are identical because raid 1) and clone it using a toaster over to one of the new bigger drives. just do this twice so you have a matching set.

Then in the raid controller set up your raid 1 but simply DO NOT initialize so it doesnt wipe the drive.

While Dell doesn't support cloning and such, as Young had stated, what you may want to consider is Online Capacity Expansion (OCE). Online capacity expansion is used to add additional drives/space to a preexisting virtual Disk, and you can find steps for it here.
