PERC2 Qc Battery Replacement
Hi
I was wondering if you could help me get hold of a new battery module for an AAC-9000MD card that is attached to the AAC-364 PERC2 Qc.
My Card is giving an Error that I understand to mean that the battery had died.
The card was in storage as a backup and I think the battery has corroded and needs to be replaced, so im looking for a new one
I would prefer to buy in the UK as I am based here but I would be willing you buy from anywhere in the world.
Can anyone help me source the battery?

Jumper JP3 on the AAC-9000MD is ON...
Any ideas where I can buy a battery in the UK?
I dont mind going to a 3rd party distributer or wholesaler as long as I can get a working battery
I have the exact same problem.
My AAC-364 (Dell DP/N 0003351P RevA03) board with AAC-900MD (Dell cntrl 1777800 G 9946) has two dead batteries. I have removed it and measured 0V on the battery.
Can someone give me the part number (dell or generic) to replace the battery?

Its not passable to replace the battery.
Its bonded and soldered on...labmonkey42

For one thing, my battery is not soldered onto the board. The battery *is* glued, but the connector is removable. However, if there is no vendor for this battery then at least the question remains, where can we order an AAC-9000MD board with a new battery when the old battery is destroyed by some means?labmonkey42

That's part of the problem. Half of the PERC2/QCs on eBay have bad batteries and are covered in battery corrosion.ElectroSoldier

Thats true.
I happened to find a private seller who used them in his none Dell server, they turned out to be good ones, and he offered so much help.
I cant remember his ID, but I remember I got them for about £25 each and he even helped with the firmware, the drivers and the FAST software to help me set it up again in the rebuilt server.- If you can not find one......Search google custom battery packMany companies make battery packs, you send the pack, they duplicate it. There is nothing special about raid batteries, the old raid unit have nickel cadmium packs, the newest raid cards nickel hydride. Yours would definitely be nickel cadmium, as nickel hydride batteries did not exist when you purchased the Perc2.If you know how the batteries are setup in the pack, series or parallel, you could figure the voltage of the pack (each cell is 1.2 volts), and get a similar pack at Radio Shack or on the Web. Somewhat smaller or larger physical size is not important, only the correct voltage is important. The old battery connector could be spliced to the new pack if necessary. Larger the pack size the better,
