I am currently upgrading my PowerEdge 2500 to Windows Server 2003 and I wanted to find out what I should use for firmware when updating.  I need to know if I should install the firmware and drivers before I install Windows 2003 Server or if I can install Windows 2003 server and then update the drivers and firmware after.  I also wanted to know if I needed to update the ESM Software. 

 

Where can I tell what version of drivers and firmware I have on my PE2500 for the Perc 3/di controller. Will the raid configuration not work if I install Windows 2003 Server and then try and update firmware and drivers?
