Resolved: Installed JRE 1.8 (version 8).  JRE 1.9 (version 9ea does not work).

Configuration

ScaleIO 2.0.0.2

Ubuntu 14.04 (4.4.0-53-generic)

FireFox 50.1.0

Oracle Java version 9-ea (amd64)

Completed only install of IM/Gateway to server.  Attempting to "Log in to the IM server (https:// )" to finish the install to MDM/SDS/SDC nodes.

I enter IM server IP address in Chrome (Version 55.0.2883.87) on remote admin server but get "This site can't be reached.  Refused to connect".  The remote admin server can ping IM/Gateway server and has 1920x1080 resolution.

ssh to IM server:

$ sudo service scaleio-gateway status

[sudo] password for administrator:

scaleio-gateway start/running, process 11193

$ sudo cat /var/log/upstart/scaleio-gateway.log

.......................

scaleio-ams: The service has not been started after 10 seconds.

scaleio-ams: Launching su - root -c /opt/emc/scaleio/gateway/bin/startup.sh.

stdin: is not a tty

...................

Note: Above message repeated and added every 10 seconds.

I also tried logging into IM from FireFox on the IM server using the IP of the server (https://localhost/) but with the same result - Unable to connect.

Here's recorder Java and IM/Gateway Install.

Java install procedure:

Is there a specific port that needs to be specified with the IP address? Ports 80 and 443.
