2335DN Networking Issue

Just updated the firmware to the last so I could transfer the settings to a new printer with a newer firmware, but the Printer started to just stop responding to requests from users.  I changed the network cable and updated drivers on effected machines, but it continues to drop from the network without an error on the unit and the local machines can send print jobs or scan to email.

Thanks for any help!

I suspect that some setting was changed when you updated the firmware. Most likely whether it is set to DHCP or static IP.

The printer is and was set to Static IP.  It stopped responding this morning again.

It is weird, several other printers do the same thing and I talked to Dell Support.  Resetting the printer as per Dell tech helped for most of the day, than it did it again.

I think it has to be the printer, since I reset the printer and we have roughly 4-5 of these models, but only two of them give us this problem constantly.

I have the same thing happening with one of two Dell 2335dn printers.  I updated the firmware to the latest level and it got worse.  So, I backed it down a level.  The printer will stop printing.  When the printer is power cycled, it will start printing again but will always stop printing at some point.  We have another Dell 2335dn that works fine.  Could it be the printer?  This one started doing it "out of the box" brand new!!!

After the firmware flash, make sure that you enable iPrint Notification in Printer Server Settings -> Printer Server Settings (Tab) -> iPrint Notification Select the corresponding OS.

That fixed my issue. Hopefully it works for you guys also.

Whenever I try and connect to the web interface, this is the page I get.

I am running windows 8 and I don't see a tab for iprint notification in the print server properties. Unless I am looking in the wrong place.
