I got an old DELL A920 Printer. I was previously installed on a home PC DELL Dimension 2400. The old PC was a wreck to I bought a new DELL Inspiron Laptop running on Widows XP Home Ed SP3. After 6 months of not being used I installed the printer on my new laptop. Installation was successfull, drivers and even the DELL Printer Solution Center.

Problem #1 : When I try to print any document it will load the paper and it will act as if it was printing but when the page was out there are no any print on the paper. I check the ink, it was good. Still halfway based on the DELL Solution Center. I tried printing on WORD, EXCELL, WORDPAD, and OPEN OFFICE still the same problem. I already Isolated the problem that it was the printer coz my HP Printer is printing well. I also checked the Printer Properties and Installed Printer everything is working fine. I already set the DELL A920 to be my default printer and also tried to uninstall the HP printer to make sure no other spooling service or printer is installed.

Problem #2 : When I also tried to scan any documents/pictures I won't scan anymore. I check the scanner, it seems its jammed since the scanner light wont move at all. I will try to move for a bit then suddenly it will stop then I will hear a noise coming from the scanner part of the printer. The light is still ok, it will light up brightly it just won't move.

Question #1 : Does it means that the printer's printing capability stoped working?

Question #2 : It might be a problem with my ink? Since I haven't tried installing a new set of ink?

Question #3 : Is there a problem with my scanner's gears why it won't move at all.

Question #4 : Is it a driver Issue? Since I have'nt tried updating yet the driver.
